On May 20, 2024, the inauguration ceremony for the Zhejiang Training Base was successfully held at Zhejiang OriOSMO Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., marking a solid step forward by the China Membrane Industry Association in promoting talent development and industry advancement for membrane technology. The event brought together leaders from the industry association, sector experts, and representatives from numerous operation and maintenance enterprises, all witnessing this significant milestone.
In his opening address at the ceremony, Miao Wei, Secretary-General of the Membrane System Operation and Maintenance Branch of the China Membrane Industry Association, emphasized that the membrane industry, as a national strategic emerging sector, is receiving significant support and cultivation at the state level. The association is committed to promoting the widespread application of membrane technology across various fields, underscoring that strengthening talent training, enhancing competency evaluation systems, and fostering industry exchange and collaboration are key to elevating the sector's overall standard. Secretary-General Miao further pointed out that establishing regional offline training bases, such as the one inaugurated at Zhejiang OriOSMO, aims to enhance the professional skills of frontline operation and maintenance personnel through flexible and efficient training models, thereby meeting the urgent talent demands driven by the industry's rapid expansion.
Following the inauguration ceremony, the "Advanced Management Training Program for Membrane Water Treatment Operations" was officially launched, featuring an exceptional lineup of instructors for its inaugural session. A distinguished group of industry authorities and seasoned experts delivered in-depth yet accessible lectures and led discussions on core topics. The panel included Secretary-General Miao Wei, Dr. Xu Ping, Senior Trainer Chen Aimin, Li Wenshuo, Wang Xuliang, Yong Wenbin, Dr. Yue Xinye from Zhejiang OriOSMO, and Senior Engineer Fang Ming from Hangzhou Haina.
Their sessions covered critical areas such as ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis membrane technologies; optimization of membrane processes in water treatment; equipment management and safe operations; as well as water quality management and system maintenance. These courses, integrating robust theory with practical application, provided participants with invaluable learning opportunities. Upon successful completion of the program and passing the assessment, trainees will receive professional competency certificates issued by the China Membrane Industry Association, further enhancing the specialization level of talent within the industry.
The spacious and bright classroom was filled with executives and technical骨干 from water treatment companies across the nation. Attentive and with a visible thirst for knowledge, they diligently took notes on every key point. The room buzzed with productive engagement as they actively participated in discussions, delving into in-depth interactions with the expert instructors on critical issues such as membrane material selection and system process design, creating an atmosphere that was both vibrant and orderly.
Following the theoretical training, participants were divided into groups for a tour of OriOSMO Environmental Technology's demonstration line for membrane water treatment. Through direct observation of operational demonstrations, they gained a deeper, more practical understanding of membrane technology.
The establishment of this training base and the successful launch of its inaugural program have not only created a vital platform for the learning and growth of membrane technology operation professionals in Zhejiang and across China but have also laid a solid foundation for advancing the high-quality development of the domestic membrane industry and cultivating more specialized talent.
